Peel-and-stick wallpaper has its adhesive built in, but surface compatibility remains essential. Texture, dust, paint finish and paint curing can affect adhesion. Follow the specific product’s guidance: removable does not mean suitable for every painted wall.

A wallcovering follows the surface beneath it. Ridges, loose paint, old adhesive and uneven patches can show through or interfere with adhesion. A suitable wall should be clean, dry, sound and appropriate for the selected material.
Wall preparation is one of our available services. The work needed depends on the existing finish and the wallpaper’s requirements. Surface repairs, smoothing and a compatible wallcovering primer may need discussion; not every project needs the same treatment.
Moisture concerns should be addressed before covering a wall. Wallpaper is not a repair for an underlying leak or an unstable surface.
